Tin Mill Dam & the Upper River Don


With effect from the 1st April, 2009 for 12 months five members of our Club will be able to fish the waters of the Tin Mill Dam Angling Club at any one time. They have a Dam and bout a mile and a quarter of the Upper Don near Stocksbridge.

Tin Mill Angling Club – directions:

Access is at grid reference 293987.  This can be found by travelling along the A616 Stocksbridge bypass from the direction of the M1 motorway. After crossing the Tankersley roundabout, carry straight on and take the 2nd left signposted to Stocksbridge.  At the junction you need to turn right back under the A616 and then left onto Soughly Lane.  Access to Tin Mill fishery is  on the left after approximately 20 yards.  If you cross the river Don then you have passed the entry road.  Travel along the unmade road for about 300 yards and the lakes are located on the right hand side.
