MIRYLWYN LAKE - WESTWOODSIDE 1
Description
Mirlwyn Lake at Westwoodside is probably the most picturesque of all the Club waters.
It was kept in immaculate condition by the owner – Colin Snell – who could often be seen by anglers at the site working on the land. Sadly a couple of years ago Colin lost part of his sight and since that time the Club maintenance team have endeavoured to continue the standard he set. In the summer months Colin still visits the lakes on his mobility scooter.
It is a lake of about 2.5 acres with depths of up to about 4/5 feet.
There is excellent parking next to your swim and a toilet on site from May to September.
One word of warning – beware the V bomber green triangular shaped horse flies – the bite is nasty – its well worth using some special formula anti – fly-midge/mossy cream when fishing the venue in summer.
