First Set of Club Rules


SHEFFIELD & ROTHERHAM POLICE ANGLING CLUB


           1.   The club shall be known as the ‘Sheffield and Rotherham Police Angling Club’.


           2.   An Annual General Meeting shall be called each year, when officers will be
                 elected.


           3.   The initial subscription for full members shall be £1 per annum. This shall be
                 revised annually.


           4.   Committee Meetings will be called as required.


           5.   Subscriptions will be due on the 1st January each year.


           6.   Each member may purchase one permit for his own child up to the age of
                 15 years, who may accompany and fish with that member.
                 (Cost 50p per annum)


           7.   Associate members; wives and children over 15 years of age, shall pay
                £1 per annum. They must be accompanied by a full member.


           8.   Junior members must move to allow full members to fish if all holes are
                 full.


           9.   Permits will be issued. Only permit holders may fish the club waters.


           10. When a member is at the waters he shall be in possession of his permit
                 at all times.


           12. No persons other than permit holders are to be in the grounds of
                 Barlborough Hall School.


           13. Any misuse of permits will be dealt with by the committee. Permits
                 will be withdrawn and membership banned for life.


           14. Permits will be returned each year for dating and signature.


           15. Yorkshire River Authority close season for coarse fish shall be
                 observed.


           16. Yorkshire River Authority licence shall be required by people
                 fishing the Avenue Pond, Barlborough.


           17. Transistor radios or other similar instruments are banned from
                 the club grounds.


           18. No fires to be started.


           19. No litter to be left in the grounds.


           20. No ground baiting allowed.


           21. No hemp seed allowed.


           22. No fish except pike or eels to be taken away.


           23. Only one rod and line per person to be used at any one time.


           24. Permits must be produced on demand of any responsible person.
                (ie. Any other member, bailiff, bursar)


           25. Vehicles to be parked as directed by the Bursar. (ie. On the
                 tarmacadam car park)


           26. Full members who retire from the Police Service will be allowed to
                 continue as members.

          
           27. Members who abuse the club rules will be dealt with by the
                 committee. They may caution, fine or disqualify a member.


          ALL MEMBERS ARE ASKED TO ENSURE THE GOOD RUNNING
          OF THE CLUB BY REPORTING ANY INFRINGEMENT TO A
          COMMITTEE MEMBER.
